English Education Students Held Community Services at Pulau Nasi, Aceh Besar

English Students Association (ESA) and Dr. Kismullah (ESA assistant lecturer) USK carried out social service to Pulo Nasi, Aceh Besar. This activity was held for almost a week, namely around 26-30 October 2023 with the activity theme “Healthy Youth for A Brightly Youth”. ESA maintains relationships with residents and schools in several places, namely Gampong Deudap and Gampong Alue Riyeung. Several series of activities in the form of a PHBS socialization program on how to wash hands and brush teeth correctly at Deudap Elementary School, an Edu Games program that holds 1st place games at Deudap Elementary School and book donations at Deudap Elementary School, teaching Basic English at Pulo Aceh 1 Middle School, the Break The Dream program together students of SMPN 1 Pulo Aceh, sharing about dreams and putting their painted palms together and then writing their dreams on each other’s handprints, donating books to SMPN 1 Pulo Aceh, teaching the Koran/tahsin with children at Gampong Deudap after sunset, the Beach Clean Up program cleans one of the tourist locations, namely Lhok Kaca Kacu, which is famous as a camping spot in Pulo Nasi, and the Creative Economy program, tours the tourist beaches in Pulo Nasi to then be promoted. Rahimah is one of the students who carried out this activity. Rahimah hopes that this activity will strengthen ties of friendship and have a good impact on the community and schools in Pulo Aceh, especially Pulo Nasi, “Hopefully this social service action can strengthen friendship with local residents, there is “It has had a good impact on students at SD Deudap and SMP 1 Pulo Aceh regarding educational motivation and motivating and inspiring ways of learning, as well as the relationship between the committee as the face of ESA which is even closer to being a family.”
