We are proud to share that Fadhilah, an esteemed alumna from the class of 2007, has achieved remarkable success by securing third place in the prestigious ALAA (Applied Linguistics Association of Australia) 3 Minute Thesis Competition 2023. The competition, held at Wollongong University, Australia, brought together some of the brightest minds in applied linguistics, challenging participants to present their research concisely and compellingly within just three minutes. Fadhilah’s exceptional performance in this competition is a testament to her dedication, intellectual rigor, and passion for her field of study.

Currently pursuing her PhD in Linguistics at the University of Newcastle, Australia, Fadhilah continues to excel in her academic journey, contributing valuable research to the field of linguistics. Her success in the ALAA 3 Minute Thesis Competition not only highlights her individual achievements but also reflects the high standard of education and training she received during her time at our English Education Department.
