English Education Department Held a Guest Lecture Carrying The Theme ” Writing Scientific Articles for Students”

The English Education Department presented a series of workshops by inviting several guest lecturers to the FKIP USK mini hall. One of the series of events presented a resource person for a workshop on writing scientific articles, namely Prof. Dr. Phil Abdul Manan S.Ag, MSc, MA, one of the professors at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh.

Through the theme “Writing Reputable Scientific Articles for Students”, Prof. Abdul Manan conveyed the need for academics who have the criteria to be proficient in writing scientific papers and the importance of understanding the techniques in writing scientific papers, both in terms of structure and systematicity.

“Scientific works must not be presented for free. “Everyone must pay attention to the applicable rules and regulations,” said Abdulmanan. On this occasion, Prof. Abdul Manan gave a brief explanation regarding appropriate titles in writing. According to him, writing a title is the same as writing a clear summary that is concise, not ambiguous and does not contain ambiguous terms.

Apart from that, the speaker, who is a German graduate, appealed to the participants to be able to create conceptual scientific work based on methods with valid instruments, so that they can answer and comply with the problem formulation and produce conclusions.
